About Google Calendar

Google Calendar is a free, online calendar that lets you create and share events, appointments, and tasks. You can also add a calendar to your phone or tablet to access your events from anywhere. It is part of Google Apps for Work, a suite of business apps that includes Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.

Publish to Flatcal

Flatcal can subscribe to calendars published by Google Calendar.

In Google Calendar
  1. Open your Google Calendar.
  2. At the top right, click settings icon and then Settings.
  3. On the left, under "Settings for my calendars", click the name of the calendar you want to use.
  4. Click Integrate calendar.
  5. In the "Secret address in iCal format" section, copy the link.
In Flatcal
  1. Open your Flatcal Dashboard.
  2. Create or open Flatcal calendar that will use your public calendar as a source.
  3. Paste Google Calendar public link into new Flatcal calendar source URL.

Subscribe to Flatcal

Flatcal publishes resulting calendar and Google Calendar can subscribe to it.

In Flatcal
  1. Open your Flatcal Dashboard.
  2. Find and open Flatcal calendar that you want to subscribe to.
  3. Scroll to the end of your configured pipeline to Outputs.
  4. Copy the ICS URL with Copy button.
In Google Calendar
  1. Open your Google Calendar.
  2. On the left, next to "Other calendars," click Add other calendars and then From URL.
  3. Enter the URL of the published calendar.
  4. Click Add calendar. The calendar displays on the left, under "Other calendars".
